I've been lucky this summer as I've been able to catch a couple of movies as a member of the press.
This includes writing a review for them at

Turns outs I'm the go to guy for Superhero reviews and that's OK with me. As a visual thinker, I've found it helpful to do some art to help focus my ideas on the movie. I did this first on my blog when I saw MAN OF STEEL.  Since then the reviews have ended up on the offical KFM website, so I've just been using my blog to feature some art:

Patrick Lugo completed his formal education at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, studying directly under the legendary Carmine Infantino. Soon after, his artwork was first published in the pages of New York indie publisher Double Edge Comics. Having moved to California he now serves as Senior Designer for Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine who published his long running comic series TIGER'S TALE.

His illustrations have also appeared on CD and Album covers both for U.S. and European musicians. He also paints as a part of a San Francisco Bay area arts collective and completed his first mural on the island of Puerto Rico. His first Children's Picture Book LITTLE MONK AND THE MANTIS was release in May 2012 and has already earned a couple of awards.
