Last year's 24th annual children's book illustrator exhibition premiered the original artwork from the pages of Little Monk and the Mantis. This year's 25th annual children's book illustrator exhibition will also include 'zines and comics. Six pieces of artwork from the forthcoming graphic novel TIGER'S TALE will be on display. A book signing by the artists in the exhibition will be held in conjunction with the Reception for the Artists, on Sunday March 16th, 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

Movie Review Sketches
I've been lucky this summer as I've been able to catch a couple of movies as a member of the press.
This includes writing a review for them at KungFuMagazine.com.
Turns outs I'm the go to guy for Superhero reviews and that's OK with me. As a visual thinker, I've found it helpful to do some art to help focus my ideas on the movie. I did this first on my blog when I saw MAN OF STEEL. Since then the reviews have ended up on the offical KFM website, so I've just been using my blog to feature some art:

CRUEL SUMMER available online.
The eight comic CRUEL SUMMER was intended to allow me to shift gears from the Children's Book artwork in LITTLE MONK & THE MANTIS which had consumed a fairly large portion of my creative output. It was also an opportunity to experiment with a new style and method of illustrating. After break-downs, water-color pencils were used for loose drawing. This was then followed by using alcohol based Copic Markers to render artwork, gradually adding layers of darker shades and details. These high quality markers allowed a broad range of both warm and cool grey tones while the underling colors appeared as an an unexpected side effect when water was app
